This is incredible ! No sure break just ocean swell to surf on. Anybody know anyone in Cornwall that has one of these foils ? ...

New Video! "Worlds Longest Waves: Open Ocean Foil Surfing" My life long dream has always been to continue to progress and figure out new ways to ride waves. At the beginning of this summer I started Hydrofoiling with a SUP downwind. The boards I was using began to get shrink and I wondered to myself if I could use my Surfing Hydrofoil to ride open ocean swells? I tried it, and its unbelievable! The worlds longest waves are just in my front yard and the sensation of flight has never felt better. The board I'm using is a 5'6" shortboard on top a hydrofoil, the never ending wave is out there and the thought that of surfing between islands is so exciting!! Standup Journal columnist Steve West says "Next time you see a paddler go out without a leash SHOW him or her this shocking video... First guy (DJ) is not wearing a leash, but has a GoPro on the back of his board. Next up is the girl that tries to tow the loose board back to him and makes the (possibly fatal) mistake of tying her leash to his board. End result…two swimmers very far from shore. Scary to watch just how fast their boards get away from them. ~ s. west. Always wear a leash!!

Well, last day of the holidays and the busy season.
Odd last week, and it just goes to show things do happen in threes. Bank holiday Monday pulled four people out the water whose speedboat sank under them as the transom detached from the boat. Towed it back about a mile to shore before it went under. Wednesday, saw to men about 100 yards apart trying to swim there kayaks back to shore from about 150 yards out in an offshore wind. They were big people and could not get back into the kayaks. Went out on a paddleboard and used it as a 'stepping stone' to get them back in. Odd thing was they were absolutely nothing to do with each other, just a coincidence that the same thing happened at the same time.
Thirdly, two days ago while doing a banana ride with seven people on the banana, saw a puff of smoke from the engine compartment of a boat, again about a mile off shore. Watched it in case it was a fire and sure enough flames started billowing from the boat and spread very quickly. Man jumps from boat so only choice was to go with banana ride and pick him out the water. Quite an exciting banana ride for everyone. Boat had 150litres of petrol in it and burnt out completely but no one hurt.
Well, hope all of you enjoyed the summer, and look forward to meeting you out on the water. Take care.
